Unfortunately we ran out of time to do our spelling test yesterday, so we will be having this today instead and new words will go home tonight.
On Monday we explored an online Inuit museum using the Ipads, we were looking for observations and useful information we can use to create our window into Iqaluit.
Yesterday we continued working on our legends to go along with our beautiful Ted Harrison inspired art. We also continued working on our skip counting skills. We are learning to determine the number of times we have skip counted to get to a certain number.
Yesterday in science we had a group demonstration using ice cold water and boiling water to watch a thermometer change temperatures. We learned that the reason the temperature changes is because of the energy transfer from the water to the thermometer. Hot water molecules move fast and cold water molecules move slowly.
In social studies, we have learned that Iqaluit is cold and that they speak another language. We also learned that Inuksuk's are used to guide the way and mark a place.
