Yesterday we had an exciting science experiment which helped us compare liquids.
Today we had buddies and spent time with Ms.Harmony continuing our work with sharing circles while Miss.Cox did reading assessments. We had our first spelling test as well as our first fire drill. We will be working on our all about me posters next week as we were interrupted by the fire drill and didn't have a chance to go over this.
Going home: Setting up your CBE account booklets
What to expect next week:
1. New spelling words
2. More work with patterning, skip counting and comparing/ordering numbers including... pattern bracelets
3. We will begin making our own maps about Canada, identifying where in Canada our 3 focus communities are located (Inuit, Acadians and Prairie people).
4. We will begin looking at density in liquids and we will compare the density of a variety of liquids in another exciting experiment.
5. We will begin a writing assignment and look flipping a sentence.
6. Miss.Cox will continue our reading testing so that we can begin our home reading program.
7. Meet the Teacher night- Thursday evening... see you there :)
Note: I will be away Monday so Miss.Weber will be joining us for the day. I can be reached by email Monday or over the weekend at sajcox@cbe.ab.ca
