Today we made a class promise about how we are going to behave. This will be posted in a separate post. After this we learned how to do magic word and magic number. Each week a new word and number are posted on our board. If we finish our work early we can work towards making as many words as possible from the magic word or finding as many ways as possible to add to the magic number. We also did a baseline writing assessment. These will be sent home in our first month time capsules at the end of this month. After gym, we had math and played less than or greater than with a partner to practice using our ‘alligator’ symbols. Before lunch, we read the invisible boy and talked about how we can include others. After lunch we mapped out our classroom. Check out some of our maps so far below! Then we watched a bill bye video on liquids so that we can make our exploring liquids KWL charts tomorrow.
