Today we had ignite. Ignite is a program where once a week we can go to another room for 30 minutes for an option. For example our room hosted students interested in science experiments this morning. Afterwards we spent some time working with Ms.Harmony our indigenous learning specialist learning about sharing circles while Miss.Cox started reading testing with some students. Afterwards we learned about sorting by attribute and identified different attribute for sorting materials. Ask me what an attribute is. After lunch we did some quiet reading to calm down and build our love for books. Then we looked at our first word family, the ‘ch’ family and worked on spelling our first word list.
Going home: word lists
Reminders: tomorrow is welcome back muffins/timbits hosted by parent council. See you in the gym from 7:30-8:00 am.
Also: PLEASE leave toys at home, we are having quite a few toys find their way to school. Toys that come to school spend the day on Miss.Coxs desk, so they are much better off at home.
Have a great night,
Miss.Cox
